Quick update
I’m just about done with the outline for CalPac #3, Burning It Down. For some reason, I’d envisioned that this one would be the penultimate story, with Philip and Stuart’s story being the last full-length novel. Perhaps later on I’d write a story about Nick and Morgan because I miss them, but that would more or less be it for the world of the rowers of California Pacific College.
Uh…no.
I’m not even done with the outline of the macroplot of Burning It Down and two minor characters have already jumped out as another couple with a story just begging to be told. Of course, with each iteration the connection to rowing becomes more and more tangential, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
so glad stuart has a new intended as the first one wasnt doing it for me. Philip is PERFECT. hehehehe. cannot wait for their story. but of course I want to read owen’s story as well as I initially wanted Owen with Philip but Philip with Stuart is the bomb! I never forgot Philip’s question to Brad that started me on this road to root for Philip’s own story. He meshes well with Stuart in my humble opinion.

I can’t say it’s a story I want to write, if only because it’s not where I’d thought the story would go way back when, but it’s an idea I can’t let go of. So I might as well give it a whirl and see what happens…after I’m done with Owen’s story and maybe an unrelated one after that. Not sure. It’ll depend on whether or not I need a break from the CalPac world after I’m done with #3.
